Clever Global Signs a Contract with Acciona Energy

 In News

CLEVER begins its collaboration with ACCIONA Energy, on the “El Romero Solar” PV Plant, at the Atacama Desert (Chile). The team will provide the tecnology and resources to cover the Document Managment and Validation system, that controls workers and contractors access at the Project facilities.

“El Romero Solar” will annually produce about 493 GWh of clean energy. It extends over an area of 280 hectares in one of the driest regions on the planet, with a high solar irradiation and a very clean atmosphere, which facilitates energy capture.

The plant will have 776,000 polycrystalline silicon photovoltaic modules totaling an area of solar gain of more than 1.5 million m2. This is equivalent to 211 professional football fields. The panels will be installed on static metal structures that, aligned, add a total length of 196 km. Once on Operation, 80 MW of it´s capacity will provide clean energy to Google´s data-center in Chile.

“El Romero Solar” will progressively begin its operational phase, from the fourth quarter of 2016 until mid-2017. With a power peak of 246 MWp, it will produce the equivalent energy consumption of 240,000 Chilean households.

This Project will become the largest PV Plant managed by ACCIONA´s Energy Division and as well, the higher power production plant in Latin America. This is the reason why they decided to engage with CLEVER and it´s expertise for this type of proyects.

CLEVER´s Team appreciates this opportunity to continue working with ACCIONA. We´ll continue to expand solutions within the group with the highest professionalism, safety and quality.
